1. Take immediate steps to guarantee the physical and psychological safety and integrity of Alejandro Cerezo Contreras, his family members and associates, as well as the members of the Comité Cerezo México and the organization Urgent Action for Human Rights Defenders (ACUDDEH);

2. Conduct an immediate, exhaustive and impartial investigation on the surveillance, tracking and harassment received, urging that the results of this investigation be made public and that those responsible be brought to justice;

3. Assure the application of provisions of the Declaration on Human Rights Defenders, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 9, 1998, particularly the one that “recognizes the right and the responsibility of individuals, groups and associations to promote respect for and foster knowledge of human rights and fundamental freedoms at the national and international levels”, (Art.1) and ensures the protection […]” by the competent authorities of everyone, individually and in association with others, against any violence, threats, retaliation, de facto or de jure adverse discrimination, pressure or any other arbitrary action as a consequence of his or her legitimate exercise of the rights referred to in the present Declaration.” (Art. 12.2);

4. and in general terms, act in compliance with the provisions of the International Pacts and Conventions ratified by Mexico.
